The month of March began with a storm so strong that winds shut down the Federal Government, suspended schools, and caused power outages across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. So as the month comes to a close, I am very happy to announce that it finally feels like springtime in Washington, DC!
The sunny weather called for a photo walk in the Capitol Hill district of the city, in search of blooming flowers and spring colors. The saucer magnolias, or tulip magnolias, are spectacular this year. It’s such a welcoming signal of the start of spring.
