Street of Sighs

From my wanderings around Calle de los Suspiros (Street of Sighs) and the neighboring streets in Colonia del Sacramento’s historic district. Various themes are carried throughout the UNESCO World Heritage Site:  wrought-iron street lamps, colorful bougainvillea vines, and cobblestone. ❊ So pretty you can’t help but sigh ❊

    • Aw, thanks Alison 🙂 Funny you should mention that… I was looking through pictures a few days ago and saw a definite theme- every photo I snapped was of a streetlamp or bougainvillea vines. I’m a little disappointed with myself- I spent so much time focusing on a few small elements that I missed the bigger picture. You took some great pics of Colonia, and captured some great candids of locals (something I wish I had done).
