It’s that time again, where we alternate between looking ahead to the new year, while also reflecting on the past one. I’m sharing five favorite photographs that I took in 2017.
They may not be the five best, but they resonate with me. Cheers and ✹Happy New Year✹
Mother and Daughter, Women’s March on Washington / Washington, DC. January 2017. (more photos here)
Buying flowers on Sunday / Chisinau, Moldova. June 2017.
“My Mommy is Beautiful,” Yoko Ono’s exhibit at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden / Washington, D.C. Summer 2017.
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum / Boston, Massachusetts. September 2017. (more photos here)
King Vakhtang Gorgasali statue and Metekhi Church overlooking the river / Tbilisi, Georgia. June 2017. (more photos here)
I’ve been thinking about the “themes” that recurred throughout 2017 for me, and have settled upon two: introspection and transition.
I took a new job, traveled to new countries and new states, and explored the city I live in. I made an effort to be present and mindful. Looking back, I’m happy. Looking forward, I’m happy.
