There are rows of narrow cobblestone streets that sit on the hill at Ankara Kalesi. Once homes, the structures have been transformed into storefronts and cafes, each with its own flare. We entered a cafe, climbed a narrow staircase,
and emerged into a second-floor dining room, which we had all to ourselves. An entire wall of windows offered a panoramic view of the city of Ankara. We grabbed a corner booth adorned with colorful pillows and fabrics, and shared some Turkish coffee and tea overlooking snowy Ankara, Turkey.
